Coming from Ontario, I was really surprised to find out from your map that nearly all the rest of the country has a minimum 6 month provincial residency requirement. I agree with Derek Wong's comment: people's stake in an election has more to do with where they are going to be living over the next three years there where they did live 6 months ago.
