At Granville Island, making art out of glass

Larissa Blokhuis uses her Saturday glass flower-making classes at New-Small & Sterling Studio Glass to introduce people to the art of glassblowing. Blokhuis studied glassblowing at the Alberta College for Art and Design. For the time she puts into giving flower-making classes, Blokhuis receives time in the studio for her own work.
More Granville Island stories:
- Knife juggling, fire eating are all in a day’s work
- Escape artist’s breakout performance
- Market busker strumming to his own beat

Very interesting! Makes me want to visit the artist’s studio too!
