Brent Wittmeier


Brent Wittmeier is a Masters of Journalism student at the University of British Columbia.

Before pursing journalism, he completed a Masters degree in theology at Regent College, a graduate school of theology affiliated with UBC. Prior to this, he completed a B.A. in Church History from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He has also worked in unionized production at Labatt Breweries of Canada in Edmonton, AB.

His publications have appeared in Canadian Poetry, Veritasse, and Crux. A member of the American Academy of Religion (AAR), he has presented his work at the Pacific Northwest Regional Conference of the AAR.

His research focus at the School of Journalism will be on the portrayal of religion in the media.
