Niamh Scallan

Niamh Scallan is a Master of Journalism student at the University of British Columbia.

Previous to journalism, she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development at the University of Guelph, studying global inequality and development issues from a political perspective.

At the UBC School of Journalism, her research will focus on global development and social inequality.

Niamh is a music enthusiast and a traveller at heart. In her free time, she enjoys watching Meryl Streep films, tackling crosswords and eating impossibly spicy curries.
