Vancouver city council voted to declare a local state of emergency on March 20 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beyond Vancouver, the entire province of B.C. is under a state of of emergency and officials have been ordering increasingly strict restrictions on businesses, institutions and individuals in order to curb the spread of the virus.
As a result, the city doesn’t look the same.
