Daniel Guillemette


Daniel is a journalist, filmmaker, and Master’s of Journalism candidate at the University of British Columbia.  A specialist in politics & culture, his articles have popped up across the board, including publication in Spacing, Schema, Alternatives Journal, ACTivist, Megaphone and Rabble, and he has reported on the G8 Summit in Sapporo, Japan.  Daniel has also worked as an editor at Blueprint, a research assistant for JournalismTV.ca, and a journal assistant at BC Studies.

In the midst of editing a graphic novel, beat reporting from the Downtown Eastside, writing for Cinephile, and interviewing for CITR’s Prof Talk, Daniel is currently working on a documentary about cricket.  He also speaks French and can ask about the weather in Japanese.
