Magally Zelaya

Magally is master’s student at the UBC Graduate School of Journalism.

She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, where she studied Drama and English Literature. After she finished her degree she spent one year acting in Toronto, and a year and a half travelling through Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Laos, and England.

Her interest in journalism stems from her experience at the Manitoban, the University of Manitoba students’ newspaper, where she served as News Editor. Her work has also appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press.

Magally plans to specialize in international and cultural affairs with a focus on Latin America.
