Creative Minds is a child care centre for children three to five years of age and provides both full-time and part-time child care. It is located on the north side of the Southlands Elementary School property in a one-story portable building. The building is 60 x 24 square feet. Currently, 42 families use the centre’s facilities and approximately 25 children attend the program each day.

Historical Timeline:

  • 1982: Creative Minds Society was established and housed in the Immaculate Conception School.
  • 1985: The facility moved to a classroom at Southlands Elementary School.
  • 1988: The portable building was built on the Southlands school property.
  • 2007: Kate McCabe submits application to expand her one-story portable building.
